I purchased this for two reasons, and it worked well (but not perfectly) for both:1. The more typical reason I bought it was to attach it to my steering wheel so I could remotely operate the pause, volume, and the “next track”/”previous track” functions of my mobile phone, which I often have tethered by either cable or Bluetooth to my car’s auto system. Making the Bluetooth connection with the phone was super easy, and all the control buttons work as I expected. Two reasons why I say “not perfectly” though are these; first, “form over function,” as they say. The whole thing is black, including the buttons, which makes the device extremely difficult to read without staring carefully at it. This defeats the purpose of not having to take my eyes off the road. It could be better then if the buttons’ icons were painted in a contrasting or even glow-in-the-dark paint, or if the buttons felt like what they were, such as the typical right-pointing triangle button for play, a square first stop, etc., so that you could tell by the field without even looking at it which button you were pushing. Secondly, my steering wheel is a little thicker than stock thickness because I’ve got a steering wheel cover on it. The strap this came with his extremely tight even without the steering wheel cover, and takes a good bit of dexterity/strength to get it around the steering wheel. Good news is, it holds firmly. I had a heck of a time the first time figuring out how to secure the device to the strap mount, and encourage you therefore to look carefully at the image on the product page, which explains exactly how to press in turn just right. Do that and it works fine.2. Even if it didn’t work for driving, I thought it might be useful for when I am outside running down the streets or on a trail, as a way to leave my cell phone stashed. The device comes with a lanyard, but that’s not an ideal solution for someone who is running, because it bounces if you are wearing it around your neck. Plus, as noted in reason #1 above, I still find myself having to stop (so I don’t trip) to read the button’s controls and make sure pushing the right one. This defeats the purpose of not having to pull my phone out if I still have to stop and stare to figure out what to push. My goal, which may require some glue, duct tape or wizardry, is to find a way to attach this to something resembling a watch wristband. That would be a much better solution, allowing me to wear this Bluetooth thingy on my wrist for easy access.So… Not perfect, but pretty cool. It’s small and lightweight, which I like. I just wish it was easier to read the buttons, and wouldn’t it be nice if it came with a Velcro strap long enough to let you strap it to your wrist.

I have it mounted on my bicycle handlebars to control a speaker in my rear basket. I can easily cycle through tracks or turn volume up and down while keeping my eyes on the road. It’s great!There are three reasons I give it 4 instead of 5 stars:- It’s difficult to remove the plastic handlebar mount to charge it (try to get a good grip and rotate it, then it pops off)- The button icons are black indentations on black rubber, so it’s not possible to see them with a quick glance or when cycling at night. I had to use the nail polish trick suggested by another reviewer. Now the indentations are filled in with white nail polish and I can clearly see the icons.- The small plastic charge port cover fits snugly and seems like it would keep water out – but the bit is not attached to the unit, so if you lose it, your unit will no longer be waterproof. The plastic bit won’t fall off if you are using the handlebar mount because the bit is nestled under the mount, but I probably will eventually lose the bit while charging or something.I have used this on about 6 bike rides of 30-60 minutes each and have not yet had to charge it.

Attached this center handlebars and that’s where it lives. Couple rides and haven’t checked the battery. My only “complaint” is that to charge it, you have to completely remove it from the plastic handlebar case part as well. I grinded down the plastic a bit and can now charge it by just removing from the handlebar.Would be great if a constant power option was available. I’d happily run a 12v line to switched power in the headlight like every motorcycle has.

I’ve been using this in my car every time I drive, which is at least 6 out of 7 days a week. Only charged it once when I first got it on Jan. 3rd and it’s still going strong. It doesn’t affect my phone battery as far I can tell. It’s quick to reconnect once it’s fallen asleep. I keep mine on my steering wheel with the attachment so the all black buttons don’t cause an issue for me since it stays stationary. I will say getting it attached to the holder was a little difficult but I think that was just use error if I’m being honest. I don’t take it out of my car so I can’t vouch for the waterproofness of it. But it’s exactly what I was looking for. Helps me change songs on my phone that’s auxed into my car sterio during traffic. No eyes averted at all.

It uses an old micro-USB port for charging, which is a pain.And the markings on the remote control are poorly visible.But the remote control itself appears to work well. However, be warned that it works with volume in all instances but the pause, stop, play functions only work with media & music players, not with content being streamed from within a web page (such as youtube).

Works perfect for my needs. Much safe option to skip tracks and such while on my Harley. 2008 Electra Glide, so no native bluetooth. I mounted it to the fuel door with some Velcro. I am happy with it so far

Remote was great thru its first charge. Then the battery emptied and when I tried to recharge it a second time, the device stopped responding. So I wrote the company and they reminded me: there’s a button above the logo with two rectangles (across from the play/stop button). You should press it for a few seconds and the remote will turn back to life. It’s a great remote. Glad it’s alive again!
