Electronics giant Toshiba have unveiled a smart band, tracking physical activity, sleep analysis and nutritional monitoring.

The WERAM1100 will run for two weeks without charging removing the need for users to carry a charger when traveling, Toshiba says. It uses an accelerometer to estimate physical activities, such as steps taken, distance travelled and calories burned.

Users can upload photos to the accompanying app and monitor diet and nutrition.

Initially available in Japan, the tracker will come in four colors – black, light gray, smoky pink and blue-green, and wristbands are sold separately, allowing users to vary the color they use.

No word as yet when it will be available elsewhere in the world.
