I first installed the device when my headset was at 92%, and it fully charged the headset in a short time. Later on in the day, I played for quite a while and my headset was down to 27%. I plugged in the battery pack and left it overnight, almost 18 hours, and the headset was only up to 36% and the battery pack was showing 1 of 4 lights. I then plugged in the charging cable. It only took a couple of hours for the battery pack to fully charge, but the headset is still at just 46%. So, it seems that it impedes the charging of the headset when it is not fully charged itself. Now that the battery pack is fully charged, I see that the headset is charging faster. My assessment is that it does effectively extend the useable time of the headset, but doesn’t do a good job of charging the headset alone, when not in use. For this reason, unless you have a long time when you don’t need to use the headset, I’d advise charging them separately. And don’t try to recharge the headset with the battery pack. It’s only good to extend useable time. To be fair, this is consistent with their advertising, they advertise it as extending play, not recharging. This is why I still gave it 4 stars.

Thing slides super easily and snugly onto the Quest 2’s frame. Doesn’t really weigh enough to impact the experience of using it at all. Had this charging overnight via my PC (Turned off). It was initially blinking 2 dots and all were lit in the morning. We hooked this up to our quest that was at about 70% initially. After playing it for close almost 3 hours the quest showed it was at 93% and this battery had only one dot left displaying.Normally we get about 5ish hours from a fully charged quest, so at more than half that used and having more battery than we started with, I’d say this thing is doing what it said it would.I wasn’t really sure how this’d work, but given how the quest’s battery ended higher than it started it’s fairly clear this is basically just a portable charging station type unit with special fittings and cable to hook onto and into the quest easily, which it does well. That said, I reckon it /could/ be used for charging other devices using a USB-C port, but I can’t speak to the safety or efficacy on that. But as a “battery extender” for the quest, this works super well so far. Really pleased with it and hope it lasts!

Soooooo, I messed up and got this right after I got my son a new head set that replaces the original Oculus, so it only fits on the original frame. Good news is my son prefers it. Easy to slide onto, I did have it fully charged but it seems it can last about an hour extra, we had his friends over so they were all taking turns on it, does come in handy rather than having a wire plugged in while playing.

I got this as a backup for my Oculus to use for extended time. It charges fairly quickly. It slides onto the main headset very easily and I didn’t feel any difference in weight with it installed. I’ve used it enough where I’ve had to recharge it twice but it does last for a while when using.

This is a great little addition to my Oculus. I love that I can play for a while and the battery is still at full capacity. It slides on easily and stays in place well, yet is easy to take off when you chose to.I was worried it would affect the balance of the headset, or feel heavy, but it didn’t add any noticeable weight, and playing with it on was fine.Took off a star because my top light is so dim I thought it was saying it wasn’t fully charged, despite having been plugged in all night, but it’s the top light that’s dim, and the charge indicator lights go out from the bottom when the charge isn’t full. If I tilt it just right, I can see the light is on, but at most angles it’s dim or not visible at all.

The MOVMAO battery pack works well. It is compatible with the original head strap and at least 3 other aftermarket straps. All you need to do is slide the battery pack onto the strap and plug the cable in, see first image. It couldn’t be any easier. Recharging the battery pack is just as easy. The main reason I picked up this battery pack is because I use a ventilation system on my Quest 2 and this will pull power from the Quest 2 batteries, thus shortening the play time. What I do is hook up both the ventilation system and the battery pack to the Quest 2 using a USB C splitter, see second image. Now I have all the power I need.

Super easy to install – just slide it onto the strap and that’s it!I do have to say that it makes the left side a little heavier, so you may feel it slipping to the left after a few minutes of use. But once you’re deep into a game, and your forehead gets all sweaty, it stops sliding. The battery lasts just as advertised, and I never had a problem with charging it. Been getting about 3hrs of additional playtime on Beat Saber with it, and I’m just loving it.Now if only they make something for the controllers so I don’t have to keep changing the AA batteries inside. Someday hopefully!

doesn’t fit my strap all of the way, which wouldn’t be an issue, if it wasn’t so heavy on the face. Also only adds about 45 minutes of extra play. My Walmart Onn brand portable charger adds about three hours, costs $15, and I can put it in my pocket and run a wire behind my back to my headset. Basically, workarounds are better than this product.
