// Q & A

what size band is compatible with this watch? Is there one available from Motorola? I can not find it on here or their site

Hello, The watch strap is 20mm.

Will it use replacement bands

Hello, Yes! The Moto360 3rd Gen's bands can be replaced. Various additional accessories, Moto 360 watch straps, and chargers will be available for purchase soon. You may also purchase any straps as our watch supports 20mm watch bands. Below are examples:

Does this watch show the callers picture for callers that have an attched photo on the phone (like gen 1 does)

Yes, the identifying picture shows up just as it does on my phone. There is also a Red circle to refuse the call or a Green one to answer. No, it doesn't let you speak over the watch, but with my Pixel, I am able to ask Google to out on "Speaker" so that I can talk from the same room. Simple command, "OK Google answer the phone on Speaker Phone." My Pixel responds just as asked. Love it!

Are there other factory bands available for this watch?

Hello, The Moto360 3rd Gen comes with two watch straps in the box; a premium leather and a medical-grade silicone strap designed to complement the Moto 360. However, various additional accessories, Moto 360 watch straps, and chargers will be available for purchase soon. You may also purchase any strap of your preference as long as it is 20mm; which is the one that our watch supports 🙂 Below is an example:

How does the GPS work without a phone connected?

Hello, The Moto 360 has built-in GPS and allows for standalone GPS tracking with Google Fit, Strava, and all your favorite Wear OS by Google fitness apps on the device. If you have any other questions, please contact our customer support team by sending us a message via Amazon (contact seller) or via the Moto360 support site. We will be happy to assist you. I got this today and couldn’t wait to review it after I tried it. The best thing about it is the way this feels. I got a Garmin a few years ago and it just didn’t feel good. The interface is clear and concise. It works with both my Mac and my HP laptop which is great.The brown leather strap is a bit masculine for me so I’m going to swap that out for something pink or light blue. I really like the steel and hope it lasts a long time.

    I had the moto 360 1st gen a few years back. I know it’s a different design team, different company, etc. But they did a really great job with this 3rd gen one. Processor is fast, UI is smooth, the detail of its design and construction is absolutely fabulous. I also like the battery life; it lasts me the better part of a day and a half with regular use. So it’s not bad. The only gripe I have is the method of charging. I wish they had wireless charging on this thing, they only support conductive charging with its included cradle. At least it charges really fast. Oh, and integration with WearOS is flawless. I’m hoping more apps create their Wear counterparts. But overall, fantastic device! I’m very pleased.

    Well I’m loving this watch.I hate to admit it, but it’s actually the first smartwatch that I’ve ever owned. In truth it wasn’t even supposed to be mine. I got it for my husband for Father’s day, but he quickly decided that due to his construction work, he would have it broken in no time and quickly decided that I should keep it while he’s at work. Which has essentially turned into me getting my first Father’s day present.While I would have chosen a more feminine design I had known that I was going to be wearing it, I really still do love this watch!I’m not super technically savvy and I’m still learning about this watch but here’s a few features that I love already:I love that it has GPS and this means that even without my phone on me I can track outdoor activities and pay for things without my wallet or my phone. Also, I just feel safer know that I’m wearing something, which in my mind essentially amounts to a GPS tracking locator.  (Clearly I’ve been watching too many)I love it it has a lot of storage, 8 GB.So far the battery life has been incredible I think. Mine goes for about a day and a half which is so much longer than my cell phone would ever go without a charge up.Additionally it monitors your heart rate constantly. Now, this isn’t particularly of any interest to me, but I guess it is a feature that some people would like so I thought it worth mentioning.It does not turn off. This is actually a huge benefit for me because cell phones turning off on me while I’m using them, drives me up a wall.The interface was seamless and very easy which was important for me, because as I mentioned I’m not particularly technically savvy.  I think I had to download two apps on Google Play Store .  One was Google fit and the other was Wear OS.You’re not going to be able to download a lot of apps onto the watch, but I don’t know that I really want to be playing around with too many apps on a watch anyways.It has the most important ones which for me would consist of, Google translate (because my husband is Mexican and I often need to use it with his family.). and also I use Spotify on this watch for my music because that’s very important to me. I just connected it to my Bluetooth headphones.Additionally, I believe that you’re able to pay remotely just with your watch through an app.  Google pay maybe.   I haven’t really used that poption yet,  but the upside to most people would be you wouldn’t have to necessarily have your phone on you.  You could be out and about completely phoneless and still paying for things.You can’t make calls through the watch.  You have to  use your phone, but I always thought people were kind of ridiculous walking around talking into their watches anywaysAll in all I’m pretty love the watch. I’m definitely going to get some new bands for it, then maybe upload some pictures.  But  boy it is sleek-looking.   iit is so classy and sleek looking. Well  certainly I would recommend this watch to anybody who’s in the market for a smartwatch.   I think it was just named the best looking smartwatch of 2020 and I’m not surprised.!I will keep you all abreast of any new things I figure out or any changes in my feelings.

    This is an extremely sleek looking watch, small enough to fit a smaller wrist while not being too bulky, and has a sexy display, far superseding my previous apple watch. It was actually pretty easy to setup and configure with apps, and considering this is my first android watch that was impressive. GPS and strava integration were spot on and on par with more of the specialized sport watches out there. Battery life is decent at about 1-2 days, slightly better than my apple watch but it would have been nice to see an energy saving option that doesn’t just revert to showing only the time. Overall I am quite stoked with the quality of the watch, especially for fitness tracking!!

    So the watch shipped really fast, I unboxed it, followed the instructions and it was set up lickity-split.This is my first smart watch so i wasn’t to sure what to expect, but seeing all of my notifications on my wrist is really neat.I think it will be really nice for the people who carry their phone normally with them in their pocket/back pack/purse, but you wont need to constantly whip out the whole phone device every time to check a notification/ text anymore or if your just bad at remembering to checking your phone msgs.Also I like that there are many interfaces to choose from as well, so I can make it look more cute/personal to me :DWell that’s my 2cents! -I think this lil watch is handy-dandy and i’m probably going to order another one for my bf too because he likes mine :)Anyhoo I hoped this helped who ever is reading this Cheers!Update:Well, after a few weeks of use, I’ve definitely noticed how strong the gorilla glass is. Not being used to wearing a watch, I’ve accidentally ended up hitting it so hard on things! I get worried that I might’ve broke it but it’s absolutely fine! Not a single scratch anywhere! lolAnother thing that I’ve noticed is that the battery life has been great with it lasting two days, it doesn’t matter if i happen to forget to throw it on the charger at the end of the day. I also really love having all my notifications on my wrist, now I only have to peak down at my wrist to see that it’s just a telemarketer calling hahahSuper happy with the purchase! 😀

    I haven’t owned the 1st or 2nd generation Moto 360s, so I can’t make any comparisons. But I have been extremely satisfied with this watch so far.Hardware:Right away you can feel the build quality in this watch. It has some heft to it; the kind of heaviness that you don’t get with cheap materials. The back is secured by screws, which is something I appreciate more now after hearing about issues with glued backings falling off in other brands like Fossil. The upper button has a rotating bezel to offer an alternative to manual scrolling on the touchscreen. Both upper and lower buttons are satisfying to click, with the lower button serving a custom user-set function (I just have a timer set for that button). The heart rate monitor can be accurate at times, not accurate at others. But this is a common problem among non-fitness smart watches. I don’t need precise tracking, so again fine by me. I have mine set to measure throughout the day, so the average HR ends up being pretty close.Accessories:Two bands are included with the watch. I’m personally a fan of the silicon version–the leather band doesn’t feel too high of quality in comparison (genuine leather, as is printed on the back, doesn’t indicate that it’s quality leather like top or full grain leathers, and I don’t expect it to last long). The included charger is disappointing… it seems pretty basic for an otherwise polished package. But neither issues are that big of a deal.Looks:I love the way this watch looks; it’s classy but not overdone for everyday use. My wrists are on the smaller side at 6 inches, but I like the way this watch looks on me. Just the right size, unlike many monstrously sized watches out there.Software/Battery:Wear OS runs smoothly to my eye. I haven’t noticed any lagging at this point, at least not anything I would consider irritating. The vibration can be set to different intensities and frequencies (I’m not picky about the vibration, it feels fine to me). Some have commented on the screen being too dark. Part of me wonders if they did not have the adaptive brightness turned on correctly… It’s plenty bright for me. I can see the dial in full sunlight. The GPS works well and tracks my run distance accurately. Battery lasts me right around two days at the moment. This is with light-moderate use and always-on screen mode, so your mileage may vary. I noticed turning on the wrist gesture to wake reduced the battery life. Not too surprising since the screen will brighten every time you rotate your wrist. (Someone else wrote a review saying it lasted them less than a day and performed like a $20 watch… not sure what they did or if they got a lemon. Definitely not my experience)I got this watch to use in a clinic setting so I don’t have to look at my phone for notifications. Anyone who is looking for a watch with more specific expectations in mind might be nit-picky about some aspects of the Moto 360. But to anyone who wants a watch that does all the basics really well while looking incredible: this one is hard to beat.If I have any major complaints or issues I will update this review. I’m one month in and couldn’t be happier with my choice.

    I am very glad that I took the plunge and switched from a Fitbit. I like that I can use my Moto 360 watch to screen calls and reply to texts, email, Messenger messages or whatever chat I’m getting a t that moment. Best part is I can use the microphone option so I don’t have to type. I do wish there were more watch faces easily available to use as the different apps you can download are not always easy to use. There is still more features available on the Moto 360 that I am still learning but am very glad I got the Moto 360!!
