The CAMO cap I received was not quite as expected. I guess I should have paid closer attention to the “Colors May Vary” wording. Silly me to think that it might come in a variety of camo: forest CAMO, desert CAMO, digital CAMO… Nope. “Colors May Vary” means the cap I ordered for my 16 year old son is… drum roll… PINK. Solid Pink. Guess mom just got herself a new cap! (Nice, quality cap though! I’d totally give it 5 starts if it was actually any form of Camo color pattern.)

I did use one of the caps which I bought as Christmas gifts. It was an emergency, you see!I had accepted a job of repairing and 82 year old, hand crocheted, bedspread which was made out of thread, a bit smaller than kite string. The stitches were tiny and I had my clipped-on, flip-up, magnifiers on my glasses so I could see, but there wasn’t enough light.I put on your cap, turned on the lights and .. BINGO! I could SEE those stitches clearly! I could not have finished that very detailed crochet repair work without the light from your wonderful cap. In fact, I should buy one for myself. Huh?I hope I removed all of my gray hair from that cap… 😉 otherwise my grandchildren (grown adults) will know where those hairs came from.E. Christina Dabis

Update: I own the BassPro RedHead LED cap and this is the same exact cap – made in China under the same patent, same electronics, with the same exact materials, down to the care instructions under the hat band. $24.99+ tax at BassPro versus $17.19 and no tax or shipping on Amazon. Bottom line is you’re paying BassPro to advertise their RedHead line. And this hat is even better because you can cycle between the near beam, far beam or both beams using the on/off switch, which will save your batteries. When a fellow hunter introduced me to his LED hunting hat I fell in love with it. Fortunately, it has many siblings. No more LED strap on headlights for me.

Twice a week in total darkness, I set up a boat and tackle for bass fishing. This is a high quality, durable hat that provides very bright LED, hands free illumination pointed exactly where you are looking. I switched to this from an illuminated head band because the hat is so much more comfortable. This is actually my second one. My first one lasted for several years until I carelessly left it on the dashboard of my SUV in the dark, and the sun that struck it during the day melted the plastic on the battery holder.

Had a lot of rain while trying to setup a tent. This worked well without having to use a separate head lamp. Rain didn’t seem to bother it and was nice to use while getting sleeping pads/bag setup inside. CR2032 batteries are used and I’d recommend keeping some spares if planning to use the hat light for long periods. We used flashlight for everything else.

My boyfriend loved this hat. The only bad thing was it only lasted 3 months before the wires broke. He’s a mechanic and is hard on stuff, I just had to order another one.

I’ve taken to wear a camo cap most the time and my eyes aren’t what they used to be in dim light, so these are like my glasses if I wore glasses. Got my old one at walmart and it’s filthy. Went to get another but they don’t stock them anymore. There’s no going back now, I’m so used to having a bright light handy as my cap bill that if I ever had to go back to a plain cap I’d look like I have a weird bill touching twitch or something. I bought 4… two camo and two assorted colors. So I’m set for about 5 or 6 years.

I’ve been using Panther Vision hats for over 10 years. I’ve actually bought a lot of them for me and for friends. I use the lights ALL the time! I use them when I’m working on something mechanical that needs extra light, in restaurants when my old eyes can’t see the menu, and in lots of dark places that just need a little light. It’s even a lot easier to just click it on walking through a room than finding the light, turning on the next light, turning the first light off, etc.Recently, though, they have not been fitting correctly. There’s just not enough room for in the hat for the band to ride in the proper place. I reached out to Panther Vision but they didn’t get back to me, which was disappointing.I do recommend these hats…if you don’t have a fat head like mine!

Purchased them as a thank you to some guys who guided me on a hunt, we’ll see what they think. Mine is an old single light in the center with a push button I’ve had for many years that just won’t give up the ghost, even after a few dozen washes with batteries still in it, which by the way have been working for ten years, dim but still working.
