They show you all these amazing things the watch can do to try to sell it to you, but don’t tell you that you can’t use ANY of them if you want the watch to last more than 10 hours. You have to turn everything off! If you store your watch on the charger, take it off to workout and put it back on the charger afterwards you can do everything it claims. If you plan to wake up, drive to work, check the time a couple times and received a few texts and emails, your watch will be down to 48% by 10:30AM. I never expected 2 days of battery, but It is a worthless device if it cant make it from 6AM to 9PM on the wrist of an accountant who sits at a desk all day. It’s $30 for an additional charger if you want to keep one at work because it can’t make it though the day. My old LG watch could make it though a work day with no problem. This is a huge step back.

This is my 5th android smartwatch. Previously had the TicWatch Pro and LG sport among others. Here are my thoughts:1. Performance. It’s definitely more responsive due to the new 3100 processor, but it’s not a massive improvement. Apps are snappier and Google Pay comes up instantly, unlike previous watches. It seems to lag behind other non-Wear OS smart watches in terms of speed, but it’s a step in the right direction.2. Battery life. Initial battery life looked to be sub-par with an average day ending at 15% or lower. However, I removed some of the pre-installed bloatware (Nike run app, some emergency dialer app, Spotify) and I also made sure the Fossil heart rate monitor wasn’t a widget on my watch face. Between these actions, my battery life after an average day was just under 50% – much better. This number includes always-on display and Google Fit background heart monitoring.3. Comfort and style. Easily my favorite part about the watch. It’s very sleek looking while also being extremely light weight. It’s barely noticeable throughout the day and the silicone band is the most comfortable I’ve had yet. The stock Fossil watch faces aren’t the best I’ve seen but some do offer some nice functionality. Unfortunately there is no speaker, so calls or Google Assistant responses aren’t handled well on this watch.4. Durability. Can’t speak to this point too much since I’ve had it less than a week. I’ve read some reports of issues with the plastic housing, the charging hookup on the backside, or the rotating crow. With that said, I’ll be taking extra care just in case. Definitely spend $8 to get the glass screen protectors.5. Fitness tracking. Works as well as any other Google Fit supported watch. The weight makes it more ideal than other watches. Just be aware that it will drain the battery much faster while you’re actively tracking your exercise.TLDR – Among the fastest Wear OS smartwatch and exceptionally comfortable. Clean up junk apps for much improved battery life. Get the glass screen protectors. No built-in speaker. Stock Fossil faces are decent.

Beautiful and featureful Wear os watch.I had issues with the battery and found the solution* Turn off Tilt to wake screen* Turn on Always-on screen (yes it not consuming battery as Tilt to wake option)* And also don’t turn on Background heart rate in Google Fit (it will discharge the battery in 10 hours)With this configuration, I am using this watch for more than 30 hours.And it is a little bit slower than my friend’s Ticwatch E.

This watch completely fails at performing the one simple task that a watch must do, TELL TIME! This watch is so extremely laggy/slow/unresponsive without any apps even installed on it that it becomes unusable, unless you have a lot of patience playing around with your watch and looking like a goofball trying to get it to display the time. When tilting the watch up to check the time, you have to wait for the display to turn on. The voice assistance is absolutely horrible. You have to wait several seconds for it to initialize before you can speak and unless you are in a recording studio, it’s not going to understand you. I have no idea why there is the “sport” in the name of this watch because it is far from being a sport watch. I can’t even count how many times this watch restarted because of random button presses while lifting weights or playing golf. The strap was also very large. Normally I would be right about in the center of all the holes provided, but with this one I had to use the first one. Did I mention how horrible the battery life is? If this is supposedly the best Wear OS watch currently available, then Google is in a lot of trouble with this ecosystem. It is absolute garbage. Purchasing this watch was very insightful. I realized its just a gimmick. I don’t actually need my SMS or emails to be displayed on my wrist. I don’t need to talk to my watch assistant, I don’t even use that on my phone. I don’t need to have my wrist vibrate every time my phone gets a notification. This watch made life more difficult. Back to wearing my Breitling watches it is. I don’t have to worry about charging, putting in PIN codes, clearing stacked up notifications, system updates, or getting outdated in a year from now.

I’m using this Watch with an iPhone.The watch works fine with an iPhone but some of the features that we get when we connect to an android phone is missing. Watch will receive notification from iPhone but cannot reply back to a message from the watch itself. Google maps can be installed on the watch but to use it you will need an android device. My watch easily last for at-least 30+ hours for me with an above average usage. The watch is very light and have a good build quality. If you are using this watch with an android device you can unlock a lot more features. But for me with my iPhone the watch has every I need. It will notify me, helps to find my phone, fitness tracking,..

From the house of Fossil which makes designer watches, their newest baby comes in the form of the Fossil sport smartwatch. A light weight, smart looking, smartwatch which comes with a ton of features in it. Battery last for one and a half day easily. This can be achieved by keeping the always on display feature as it utilizes the advantage of an OLED display that only lights up what is required and not the entire screen when in standby mode. Another way to increase battery life is to be selective about the apps that we receive notifications from. We do not need notifications from all apps. Charging is easy and fast and fast means fast, that is within 1 hour to full charge with wireles charging. You just have to keep it on the charger provided. The heart rate monitor works great checking the heart rate at regular time intervals.The best part is the media control. Although you can download specific apps the inbuilt media control app is convenient. Play a song on your phone and the media app on the watch detects it instantaneously and then we don’t touch our phone. Messages from different apps can be replied to via the watch itself. It detects voice well for Google assistant as well as speech to text. The watch is 5atm so no problem if rain or sweat. The sport part of the watch is pretty evident in its weight and the Google fit app doesn’t disappoint. Let me be honest that I am not into much workout but the watch helps keep a track of my daily activity in terms of steps and the Google fit point system does motivate to achieve more. The difference is noticeable as I prefer walking more now to then see my watch appreciate my efforts. I commute daily in crowded trains. This watch is convenient and functional and does not require much effort in use. Wear Os is not the most perfect software yet and the one star less in the rating is for that, but the small glitches barely interfere with the usage of this watch. I have used the Sony smartwatch 2 prior to this and the evolution of smartwatches is very much evident when I use this Fossil smartwatch.To conclude the Fossil sport smartwatch is a watch for someone who is looking at getting a functional timepiece & more but does not want to compromise on looks, the feel and the design. With a very smart profile functionally and with looks, the Fossil sport smartwatch is the one to keep and keep on using. At the price point its a steal.

Watch look’s great, it’s light weight and it’s powered by the Google’s wear OS, so it’s comparable with app’s I use like keep, G maps, assistant, Spotify, etc. But the software is not there yet. It’s laggs a lot, like if I’m receiving a call it take more than 5 to 7 second to display it on my watch, it’s much easier for me to just pick up my phone and see who’s calling. It laggs to open any thing immediately, it takes 2 to 3 second’s to open even the settings which is built into its operating system not a third party app. And the battery life is very bad, trust me it doesn’t last me a complete day, I’ll remove it from charge at 9am while leaving for my office, and iam not a heavy user I only moniter my heart rate and distance walked and don’t receive much call and messages either. There are many days that don’t even touch the watch. But by the end of the day when I return home at 8pm there will be around 20 to 30 percent charge remaining, and in switch to clock only mode when I weakup the next day. And it take a lot of time for such a small battery to change. I give my phone around 40min of change and it’s more than enough for me to last one and half day. But I have to dedicate one and half hour atleast for this watch, otherwise it won’t last till night.Anyway my worries about this watch is that, I spent 18k on this watch, which iam planning to use atleast 2years, but with this terrific battery life, super fast performance iam not sure how it works after 6 months or 1 year.

The product is classy. No doubt about it. The biggest con is battery. It drained by 50% in 4 hours if used with occasional use of emails.I hope upcoming wear OS updates may take care of that aspect.

I liked the looks of this watch.. Really sporty..!! It has some really nice features too..!! But battery life makes it a deal breaker.. I was getting a battery life of 8-10 hours with medium usage….!! Wear os is good but definitely not the best OS for wearable.. Price is a bit cheaper than Samsung galaxy watch active…. So you have to think which one is a better proposition..!!

The UI navigation tends to be slow and it’s not uncommon for it to not respond when selecting an app to open. The silicone watch strap tore through the hole my wrist fit to, so now it twirls around my wrist until I buy a new strap.See more

For example, it’s currently running Android 8.1.0 even though it recieved a security update on June 7th. If I remember correctly, version H of WearOS based on Android 9.0, has optimizations for this devices specific SoC (Snapdragon 3100). Those would be nice to have.See more
