Pros:- Easy to use and set up.- No app store, no social media, no “bloatware” preloaded apps, no internet browser.- The mission control app for parents is cool, I like that it sends you notifications when the battery is low or when it’s outside of a “safe zone”. Lots of control over contacts and other settings.- GPS is pretty accurate.Cons:- The battery life is just not good, especially considering the OS doesn’t appear to be very demanding and there are only a handful of preloaded apps. After initially receiving it I let it charge until full. It died within a day, but that’s to be expected after the first charge with some devices. Sometimes batteries need to calibrate a bit after first-time use. I then left it on the charger overnight. My daughter took it off and played with it a bit before school the next morning, then left it on the kitchen table (I don’t let her bring it to school, I don’t want to have it be a distraction or run the risk if it getting taken away. I wanted her to have it so I can call/text her when she spends the night at one of her grandparent’s houses, when she goes to her mom’s in another state during school breaks, and so she can call her family whenever she wants. Maybe even let her go to the park across the street by herself as she gets a little older). I got a push notification through the mission control app that it needed to be charged soon around early afternoon. By the time I got home from work it was dead again. This has been the norm since.- My daughter was so excited to be able to call her family. But it kept dropping calls, especially outgoing calls for some reason. There is an optimized call feature that lets you use VoIP via your WiFi network but you have to get a brand new phone number to do this. It was annoying to have to reach out to her mom/grandparents/aunts/uncles and explain to them that she has a new phone number and that they should call that one moving forward.- Unlimited texting is kinda false advertising. The watch only lets the user text people who are designated as a “guardian” in their contacts, and guardians are those who have the ability to change all the security settings in the mission control app. And those guardians can only text the user of the watch through the mission control app itself. Which means it’s not really texting via SMS, it’s messaging via data. So essentially my daughter can only “text” her mom and myself, since I don’t want to give everyone in my family guardian status.- As far as I can tell, there’s no way to connect earbuds or headphones to the watch, so every phone conversation is a speaker phone conversation.- The charging cable is some kind of proprietary magnetic connection that easily slips off and doesn’t feel secure when connected. Really wish it would have just been standard micro usb or usb-c.- Unless I’m just dumb and don’t see it, there’s no way to save a WiFi network either in the watch settings or in the mission control app. So every time after I charge it up and turn it on, before giving it to my daughter I have to reconnect it to the WiFi. Which feeds directly into the optimized call issue. If I forget to reconnect it to the WiFi the calls will drop.Overall I really wanted to like this. The concept was neat and I was sold on the whole “no browser, no app store, no social media, only contacts you allow” feature. I thought this would be a nice way to ease my 7 year old daughter into tech, especially since I see so many kids (some even younger than her) glued to their smart phones, smart watches, and tablets these days. I don’t want my daughter to be behind the times and out of the loop compared to her peers but I definitely don’t want her turning into a tech zombie or potentially being exposed to something. But as you can see the cons just far outweigh the pros. I will probably just end up researching something else or maybe get her a “dumb” flip phone or something. If they come out with a new version that addresses the issues listed above, I may give it another chance if I haven’t already found something that works better. But ultimately I’m disappointed with the product in its current state.

My niece has been asking for a smartwatch for the longest time and although she wanted an iwatch but doesn’t have an iPhone so this was the perfect solution to her woes. It’s not the same but at least all the things that mattered most to her are all features she has with this watch. Only con is that it doesn’t hold a good charge and the location doesn’t update immediately but other than that it’s a great starter smart watch for the kids

My daughter automatically loved this watch. She’s 5. Of course she’s obsessed. Lol. I like it too. As far as the very basics. I’ll have to update my review in a few days after we get the full functionality tested. It’s a nice looking, plain black watch with square glass led screen. Comes with 2 screen protectors. They do scratch very easily. I had to replace the first one after 1 day. The band is way too large on my daughter’s arm. Again, she’s 5, so it’s little. I’m able to make it fit though. The battery lasts pretty good. You do have you charge it daily, but that was expected to be. I do get notifications whenthe battery gets down to 25%.You Have to use the optimization feature to make calls. And that gives you a new phone number. There’s no real warning either. It just does it. The calls themselves aren’t horrible. There is a little echo, but that is to be expected.Only guardians can text/message but that’s not a biggie for us. She can’t read anyway. You can send pictures or voice which is awesome.Overall i think the watch is fantastic. Not a horrible price. 20 a month for service.Overall, I’d say we are both pretty happy with it. It has some flaws, but seems to work pretty ok.

I got this as a birthday present for my 4-year old toddler nephew. My family is the country/outdoorsy type so they don’t let him use a lot off technology but they love the features on this watch. It has everything they need to track his time spent outside and location and steps, but no internet and no social media is important to them. They may use it for the text/calling features as he gets older. The sizing is great and it’s a cool look for a kid. He loves it and can’t stop talking about it. Highly recommend as an “intro” to technology for kids, or even if your kid is in school and needs a quick way to call you or text you about picking up from school, sports, etc.I got the black color and it’s slick. Can barely tell the difference from an Applewatch. Super affordable and it made me a proud uncle!!

You will need to purchase a plan for this watch, around 15 dollars for us per month. We love that only people on the approved list can contact our little one. I very much recommend keeping an extra screen protector handy. Seems to be tough and durable so far. Will update if this changes. Great colors, wallpapers, and functionality while helping keep our young ones safer.

I recently purchased the Cosmo Kids Smartwatch for my children, and I am happy so far. Not only is the watch incredibly easy to use, but it has quickly become a household favorite. My kids absolutely love it and have already started calling and texting me using its simple interface. One of the things that I appreciate most about the Cosmo Kids Smartwatch is how safe it is. As a parent, I’m always concerned about my children’s safety, but this smartwatch offers a secure way for my kids to communicate with me without any worries. It’s also reassuring to know that the watch has built-in GPS tracking for when we’re out and about or they want to ride their bikes to their friend’s house.Overall, I think the Cosmo Kids Smartwatch is a great addition to any family. It’s safe, easy to use, and provides a fun and interactive way for my kids to stay connected with me. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a kid-friendly smartwatch.

I recently purchased the Cosmo smartwatch for my son and it is awesome!! As a parent, I often worry about my child’s whereabouts, especially since my son has a tendency to wander due to being on the spectrum. Now with the Cosmo smartwatch, I feel at ease knowing that I can easily track his location even when we’re not together.Setting up the watch was super easy, and I was able to get it up and running in no time. My son likes the design and says it’s super comfortable on his wrist, which has encouraged him to wear it regularly without any resistance.Overall, I would give the Cosmo smartwatch a 5-star rating. It has exceeded my expectations in every way and has offered me peace of mind as a parent. If you’re a parent looking for a reliable way to keep track of your child without having to purchase a cell phone, I highly recommend the Cosmo smartwatch!
