I purchased a size 13 wide. My husband is a big outdoors man and does trades work. He has trouble finding shoes that are truley wide enough for him, and struggles with some foot pain, but these fit him great! I bought them for him for work as he needs something waterproof but breathable and comfortable. He loves them so much that at first he did not want to even wear them to work, he just wanted them for at home. We will see how long they will hold up but so far so good! Also reffering to the waterproofing; he hasn’t walked in huge puddles for an extended period of time yet, but he was walking in snow that went up about half of the boot for periods of times and his feet were not wet; even after coming inside for a little bit, and putting them back on.

I shattered both feet a few years back. Since then I have gone thru many different shoes but never found any that were comfortable enough for me. Nor have I found any that would stand up to the abuse I put them thru on a daily basis. These shoes change that. The comfort of them is perfect. But what really amazes me is that they are now 6 months old and look almost new. No hole or tears and the soul are still firmly in place. I love them and will only buy Columbia in the future

These boots look and feel nice but we haven’t worn them out camping/hiking yet so only time will tell. Bought these for my partner and another pair for myself. One of the eyelets actually popped right out of the boot as I was tying it. I wanted to exchange but I had bought the last pair. I liked them otherwise so I decided to just glue it back in but not a good sign as far as durability. We don’t camp often, once or twice a season so they should last for a bit hopefully.

Like some of you, I’m a huge fan of Keen and Merrell footware. I needed to replace my 1 year old Keen hiking boots, that I use for construction. I saw these for a really good price, and thought why not ? When I placed them on, I was like wow, these are more comfortable and lightweight than Keens. However, initial impressions can be deceiving, so I took my dogs for a 3 mile, 1 hour walk in the woods. These are a game changer. I was very skeptical for the price I paid, but they seem to be well made, and they are super stylish. I am afraid that these might not be suited for construction, first they are almost too good looking to bring to work, and second the soul seems softer. I’d be afraid to get a nail through them. I also dont know how these will hold up long term, but I’m already thinking about buying a second pair at this price.

The Newton Ridge Hiking Boots have to be the best set of boots I have found in a long time. I have used them on all terrains ranging from sand to mud and even at work on concrete and they have maintained their comfort. They are not like other hiking boots which press into the sides of your feet after wearing them for a while, but instead these are like walking on air. Their grippy soles have also been invaluable when I work outside wearing them as they have thankfully saved me from slipping in mud after a decent sized storm. The best uses for these boots would definitely revolve around anything outdoors as the durable sides also protect your feet from getting poked by small tree branches and other things you may step in. The only con of these guys have to be their original laces being slightly too long. I find that I have to double knot them in order to stop them from coming loose due to getting snagged on something and even then they sometimes find a way to get unclasped from the top quick removal hooks that you loop them through. However this design is compensated for at the end of the day when you want to quickly slip out of them and go on about your evening. After a solid six months of use, I would definitely recommend these boots to any aspiring outdoorsman or even to people who work indoors that require a durable yet forgiving boot.
