for the price I was like “this better be twice as good as a smartwatch.” It is. My boy likes to top it up during the day so we’re not sure how long the battery will go; seems “about a day”, but probably not “two days.”GPS takes about 5 seconds to fire up, and it’s pretty sweet. Doesn’t feel sluggish to start, and it’s very responsive when up. The rest of the interface is real snappy, very bright screen, etc. Nice watch.

I started looking into this watch family after watching a video from Linus Tech Tips where Linus wears a previous edition of this same watch.It’s got more features than I need but being an outdoor watch, I know it’s strong enough to keep up with my work in a factory. The Android integration is super easy. Just download the app, find the watch on Bluetooth, then let it sync.It’s really cut down on my phone usage too since I can see and swipe away notifications without touching my phone. The watch faces it comes with range from utilitarian to over-the-top but of course any watch face in the store should work. I found the “2 layers” face the most useful because the dim low power face shows the same info so it doesn’t feel weird switching back and forth when it wakes up.Battery life is good. I touch my watch quite a bit during the day for notifications and such but I’ve still got around 70% battery by the end of one day. And that’s with everything turned on. I expect the disconnected long term battery mode to really push as long as Casio claims.It’s fairly big but most smart watches are. It fits my wrist no problem. The band is pretty huge but I saw some examples of wearing it over a coat. It’s got enough holes that it could probably fit a child wrist up to wearing it over a coat.The orange color is a nice accent too. It gives it a nice visual pop.

Catastrophic disappointment. You want to stay away from this underperforming thing and its abhorrent pricetag. I’ve had nothing but headaches and frustation after 1 month of use. I already sent it for warranty repairs. However it came back worse, with additional defects. I can’t believe that Amazon is making me eat this loss.

I don’t know where to start! On navagation the compass would frequently shut down on me! Theres no way to delete history on your activities! So when you look at the map your old activities are still there and there’s no way to delete them. I contacted casio but they had no help at this time. It’s just not worth the price tag I sent back for a refund.

He’s pretty much spot on – the battery is appalling bad, barely get a day’s use while using only basic widgets like sunup/sundown, temp, etc. No HR monitor and hard to say what step count is based on. Strap is poor for the cost of the watch, but is one of the first Casio sport watches I’ve seen where you can change the strap without special adapters. There are plenty of 3rd party watchfaces available – but the cooler ones drain the battery that much faster. I would not take this watch on a camping/extended hiking outing – its battery is that bad. I have the Casio Rangeman and its battery lasts weeks. Stick with the Samsung Gear, Garmin Fenix, or Suunto Traverse – they actually have workable battery lives. I give it 2 stars for looks and features while charged – but use it while you can – the battery will fade quickly.

The look, size and feel of the watch is amazing. Then I turned it on…Battery life with a ton of stuff turned off and optimized was 8-9 hours. Out of the box, about 6. Casio support advised me to get longer battery life I could use a function that essentially would turn this $500 smartwatch with notifications, GPS and everything else into a regular digital watch and step counter. I decided to count how many steps it would take to return this beautiful POS. Not sure what I’ll buy instead, but it won’t be a Casio.

Realizing that many reviewers have had difficulty with battery life, I cannot stress enough that you should read the instructions manual. This is not an intutive watch.I’ve had this watch nearly two weeks and have just about figured it out.Use the BATTERY SAVER mode to save battery life!The apps are fabulous and work really well and are useful for my outdoor activities which I engage in nearly every day.The manual is your friend. Read it. Refer to it. Comprehend it. You will be pleased.F30 paired with Google Pixel XL first version.

I really like the watch. Although I have thin wrists the watch is not overwhelming.The watch is well made. It handles a lot of outdoor activities well. I bump more trees and rocks than I prefer to admit.My gripe is the response of the software is terribly slow. You never know if your tap was accepted because often nothing happens or the screen goes black, often times out to power saving state before your action was completed.As many faces that are available most are for looks not functionality. This is not on the watch but the software. If you snow board or mountain bike, there are plenty more states I prefer to see over the barometer.The mapping is great.Update: It has been several months and several updates to the software. I could not technically say if it is the watch or Google’s Wear OS but the combination is terrible. So many things don’t work correctly or consistently. The watch is constantly disconnected from the phone so notifications are constantly missed. Unlike a phone, once connected they do not show up. You get one chance to receive them and if the connection has failed again (constant means minute to minute) you do not get the notification.I wear it, I like the watch. Terribly expensive since it does not work well as a smart watch but I own it. I still feel it is Google that has let down this product line but it could be an under powered bluetooth in the watch. Even if that was patched, the OS is terrible.i suggest waiting another couple years if Google even continues this OS.

The charging cable and port could be better designed. It is very easy to disconnect which doesnt make it convenient to charge if you’re on the go. You pretty much need to leave it on a table and connect the magnetic charger to it so it doesnt just fall off. Other than that, it is a great watch. Battery life could be a bit better too.

Reloj de altísimo desempeño para excursión. Solo cojea de la batería en que si se usa extensivamente para consultar Maps dura un poco menos de un día. Pero nada que se resuelva con un power bank. Sobra decir que hace ver al Apple Watch como un juguete para niños.

Fun watch. I do more adventure things like photography trips etc. So I do not need all the excercise features of a Fitbit like heart count and all that. What I get is what I need. Messaging, texting. Location maping, weather, it does have a great low power feature so I only use full power features when I need to. It counts my steps, which is what I need when I am going and walking through the rough locations. I like the big size of the watch and the fun colour. It’s cool, and comfortable.
