I’ve tried a few masks now and IMO there’s only two worth considering.The Dr. Hoffmann mask understands how the portion of the mask that goes over the nose and face should work. That portion has elastic around all sides. That’s primarily how a mask is supposed to stay on the face. The elastic makes the mask cling to the face. The mask should not be simply plastered on the face and held up by a nose clip or the ear loops.Where his mask goes wrong is with the ear loops. They are very thin and also elasticized. And they are too short. Though they are adjustable – a must. But the thinness of the material and the elasticity allow the material to dig into the skin behind the ear. Though you still need adjustability.The Breathe Healthy mask has a good adjustable ear loop system with beads that can fit snugly behind the ear lobe so one can sleep on his side. The material of the loops is also a good choice; it comes off like a soft, wide, flat shoelace. It doesn’t dig into the skin.But where this mask fails in the face portion. There is only elastic on the sides. No elastic on the top. This is what should be holding the mask up. Without it the mask will not stay on the face and slips down the nose. The nose clip does nothing.theThe other difference I noted was that the Breathe Healthy mask “breathes” better than the Dr. Hoffmann mask. It’s a little cooler on the face. The Dr. Hoffmann mask is hot.So, the answer is to combine the best of both masks and then the customer would really have something.Update: 4/7/19. I took two stars off. There are a couple of problems having had this a while now. As I said before, there is no elastic on the top edge of the face mask. The mask will not stay on the nose. As soon as your face moves the mask slides off the nose. The metal nose clip comes loose inside the mask over time and the metal starts to crack with use. It’s starting to rip thru the fabric. They need to go back to the drawing board with this one. One star for a nice adjustable ear loop system.

I’m ordered this because the paper medical masks were not helping much with super high pollen. It doesn’t matter which person or company sells it on Amazon. I was happy to have a thicker fabric to help me, but I HATE the inner fabric, because it burns my face and is not at all soft. I blame the manufacturer for not thoroughly testing it on human faces. Also, even when I have the straps wrapped around my ears tight, the nose area bent to my nose with metal is still open under my eyes and chin. I am not a small woman with a small face. The one credit is it washes easily by hand within minutes with soap and water.

Purchased a couple of these when my wife and I went to Macau, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Siem Reap, Cambodia and a few places in Thailand back in Feb, Mar. 2019. We go approximately every 1.5 years and it never fails that one of us gets sick from most likely all the plane rides including the one from the USA.When we wore the masks that time neither of us got sick. They were hot and steamy when worn in Thailand so I returned them. Last night I purchased four new ones and will put up with the little bit of heat for the protection. I recommend them because I used them with positive results.Update 6/11 Ordered two more so we’ll have at least one in each vehicle also.

So far, so good. “Knock-on-wood” (look that up. It’s interesting), haven’t gotten sick. – I bought one last year, 2019 for an extensive trip, for the flights, because I have gotten sick after flying in the past. I believe this mask helped prevent me getting sick from the long flights. – Re-breathing some of your own breath also helps prevent getting so dried out on the flights. I used a straw to drink water. – Yes, any mask is too warm for hot weather. – Also a good reminder to brush your teeth.

Heavily researched this mask the ratings were so great I bought 2. I wore one after a few days returned the other for a refund.Mask is not for people who wear glasses as they fog up, having to adjust and play with it. the comfort and use made me go to my other cloth mask, rarely using this one. I will say it filters out pollen and it’s sometimes hard to breath if you get the fit correct. still uncomfortable due to the adjustments, freedom of movement, practical use and what it’s suppose to do. Did not feel safe in this covid environment and recommend finding something else… It just didn’t work out for me.The sellers were good to work with and responsive, giving them credit for their service.

I really like using my mask and am glad that I researched the website before purchase. We are happy to support veteran’s companies and appreciate the high quality and durability of this mask. I use it for protection from dust while cleaning the house and while sewing quilts. Fabric lint/dust can be problematic for me! It is easy to fit the mask as well. The only drawback that I have found is that it is rather warm when moving around a lot. Good thing that we have the AC for the hot weather!

I was struggling in allergy season (June/July for me here in Portland, Oregon) and took a gamble on this even though I thought it was a bit on the expensive side (at least more expensive than typical masks out there). Well let me tell you this thing is worth every single penny and then some! I usually counted my allergy days by how many sneezes I’d have per day, but this effectively took my sneezes per day to zero. I wore it on 2-3 walks each day and it totally did the job. It cinches perfectly around the ears (you can adjust and tighten it to whatever degree you want) and has a good bendable nose bridge. I’ve washed it at least once a week and doesn’t seem to be degrading at all yet.Also, the straps recently broke on my N95 mask (which I’m using for Covid), so I’ve occasionally used this honeycomb mask over the N95 to hold it in place for trips to the doctors office, etc. It’s perfectly sized for that.
