Some say the human voice is the most beautiful thing on planet Earth. Well, they say it’s either that or the sound an ATM makes as it is dispensing money on a Friday night. In the tech world, several behemoths have been using the human voice to great effect. Of course, there’s Apple and their popular Siri device. Also, Google tablets and phones have their own surprisingly accurate voice recognition system. In short, this tech is going places fast. It won’t be long until we are walking around wearing tiny badges that we talk into to get stuff done like in Star Trek. Oh wait. That day is just about here. Beam me up.
Introducing XOWi, the world’s first personal voice companion badge. You strap on this bad boy, wherever(as long as it can hear your voice) and it will help you do the things you need to do in day to day life. It looks to take the place of your smartphone, only replacing visual cues with audio ones. There will be more swiping and finagling on XOWi’s watch, thank you very much. It’ll tell you the weather, check your tweets and, according to the makers, even turn on your coffee machine. The future is pretty awesome, seemingly.
The future, however, will have to wait just a little bit longer. The company hasn’t put these bad boys on store shelves yet. Instead, they’ve taken to Kickstarter to receive final funding from us, the people. You can pre-order one and become part of Star Trek history by plunking down $149. Good luck, and may the force be with you(wait, wrong source material.)
