With the weather finally heating up and people being outside more, we’re all used to those days where we might forget to wear deodorant and we get a little sweaty. This situation would be fine if it wasn’t for the embarrassing sweat patches on our shirt! Well those days might be over with a new fabric that has been designed by scientists at the University of California, Davis.

Essentially, the fabric acts kind of like  human skin. When there is too much moisture on the fabric, the moisture forms into droplets and simply rolls off the fabric.

The fabric is made from water attracting threads that are stitched into water repellent fabric. Doing this, water is can be collected on one side of the fabric, and moved through the fabric, then expelled on the other side of the fabric.

The great thing about this product is that it is quite easy to make, which means it could fairly easily be mass produced. Who knows, we might see it on all our clothes soon!
