When it comes to business and wearable technology the obvious pairing that comes to mind is the field of health care, as that is where most of the applications for the technology outside of the consumer arena have come from currently. But what about the construction industry? For people who work with steel, pneumatic drills and potentially falling bricks safety is a big issue and some people are beginning to envision a future where wearable tech could keep workers safer.
Picture, if you will, a smart helmet that monitors what is going on around the wearer and then alerts them to possible dangers. Technology like that is already at work in a number of luxury automobiles, with a simple downsize it could be made in to portable safety gear.
