Bought 3 pairs for family to ski in the Northeast (1 lrg, 2 med). They do keep feet warm. But, they are near impossible to put into the ski boot without some of the material, especially the underfoot material with the wiring, bunching up uncomfortably. This occurred to all 3 users no matter the care one took stretching the material on, and no matter the care one took to put your socked foot into the ski boot. In the end, either way, one would have to come in because of cold feet without the heated socks, or to come in to relieve the discomfort of the heated socks. We wanted the optionality to use these for skiing and with other winter footwear, but for well-fitted ski boots one is much better off using the installed permanent Hotronic system. Also, we found we could not change the heat settings without having to expose the button on the battery to press properly, and to see the lights for what setting the socks had been changed over to.

bad design. The wires are directly under the ball of your foot so all your weight will be on the wire. Setting 2 to start and when my toes started to get cold I bumped it to 3. No difference, but more pain. It would probably be better to design something with the wired in the toe area. They might work in your home watching TV but for not out on the slopes. No refund so I had to throw them away.

I never leave product reviews and always have cold feet, however today is a day of firsts. I bought the Hotronic XLP One socks when I saw it would be severly cold in Whistler as even on a 20F day, my feet get cold. The socks are comfrtable and easy to use. Fully charge the batteries, pop them into the socks and your off and running. There are 4 power settings to choose from. I opted for the 2 level as I wanted to get a full day and I was not disappointed. The temp at the base was -6 F this morning, mid mountain was -16F and the Summit was -24. I skied the whole day and not once had cold feet which is a miracle. The only thing I was disappointed about was not getting these years ago. A+

heating works well enough although the bottom of my feet gets painfully hot while my toes are still cold. socks are a bit abnormal so the fit and feel isnt great inside ski boots. special cleaning instructions makes me nervous they will get broken by getting lumped in with regular wash on accident.

Having battled Raynaud’s disease for years (causes blood vessels in the hands or feet to overreact to the cold, causing numbness and pain), I have sought many solutions – usually succumbing to heading into the Lodge after 2 or 3 runs. These socks are amazing. I was able to ski all day with no pain, no cold, no problems. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This was the 7th heated socks I tried, and it was just as disappointing as the other 6. Put simply – it ddn’t generate any heat, at least not that I could feel. The previous ones I tried were all less than $100 each, so I thought I’d try this one for more than twice the cost. But it was just as worthless. I have no idea how other reviewers found this product satisfactory.

Worked great. Kept it at a lower setting. Tried it higher and immediately my feet were too hot. So I was able to use the lower setting and it lasted all day

I have used my hotronic socks for 2 years and had no issues. Today, they overheated at level 3 and burnt the bottom of my feet. It was excrutiating and had to take my boots off in the middle of the run. The bottom of my feet are still hurting 2 hours after i removed my socks. I’m changing socks to one that surrounds the toes and feet.
