These gloves are awesome for high heat applications. I use them for grilling/searing meat at around 500-700 degrees my grill. The gloves keep my hands from feeling the heat when I have to touch a hot surface and are very comfortable to wear. I tested them by holding the handle of my cast iron skillet (on my grill) at around 650 degrees while sauteing/searing a finished steak for 30 seconds straight, several times in a row. The glove surface showed no signs of wear and my hand stayed cool. They also keep my hands dry and protected when pulling corn on the cob out of boiling water. They are easy to clean and are textured for a no-slip grip on whatever I’m handling. I’ve had these gloves for about 4 weeks and have used them once per week since I got them. The gloves do have a rubbery type of smell but given the material they are made of, this is to be expected. However, there is no transference of that smell to any of the food I have directly handled with the gloves. One of the best quality purchases I’ve made on Amazon. I highly recommend this purchase.

Update: I reported this issue to StarMade Group. They immediately responded to my concern and honored their warranty by sending us replacement gloves. We are anxious to receive them as they do work better than any oven gloves or mitts I’ve owned in the past. If the lining stays attached to the glove, I will happily update my review to 5 stars!!While I absolutely love how these gloves handle heat, I am so disappointed that both the pair I purchased for myself and another pair I purchased for a friend both had the inner lining pull away from the outer glove layer after only a few uses. Once detached, it is almost impossible to fit the lining back into the fingers of the glove. Even when you try very hard to carefully remove the glove finger by finger, the lining reverses and pulls free. I did not expect this from a $30 pair of oven gloves. This defect happened even though the gloves were never washed or immersed in water. Further, I did not expose them to steam. They would be great gloves if it weren’t for this problem that renders them worthless.

These are really quite excellent. I have used a number of grill gloves and find my firefighter gloves to be the best and only gloves that allow moving the grates. These melt upon contact with super hot grates. They are awesome though for moving the temperature probes around, flipping the coal chimney over, and most importantly what they are designed for, moving your meat around. So much easier than tongs and tools. Just grab the food and shift, flip, rotate, whatever. Then treat them like your normal hands, a quick shot of dish soap clean and set down to dry. Perfect for doing large items like full slab ribs, brisket, etc.Fit is excellent. I’m betweeen a medium and large and that’s about where these fall.Dexterity is significantly better than other brands tried.I grill about 200 times a year (roughly four out of five meals. These have held up great. Even though I melted them a little bit trying to move grill racks around. Now I know not to try to pick up the grates with them. They still protected me and I did not get burned. If these wear out some day I will get another pair.I don’t think there is a way to make a silicone/rubber waterproof glove that is able to grab 600 degree grates but if there was and it had these gloves quality they’d have a perfect glove. Until then these are the best I’ve tried.

We’ve had these gloves for several months now and have used them to pull quart jars of canned fruit and vegetables out of boiling water baths, removed hot trays and pans from a 350-400 degree oven, and pulled hot chicken and pork right after coming off the grill or out of the smoker. In all instances they worked great! The cotton liner is comfortable and helps keep your hands from sweating inside the heavy-duty waterproof shell and allows them to be removed easily. Even though they have a tough outer shell, they are flexible and allow a good amount of dexterity. The glove is long enough that it extends beyond the wrist and protects about 4 inches of the arm. I wear a size large ladies glove and my husband wears a large men’s glove and the size of these gloves work fine for both of us. Their cost is more than some of the other gloves we looked at, but for the quality of this product, we wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.

I received a defective glove and wrote an email to the seller. He was very helpful and replaced the gloves for me very quickly. These are unique gloves in that you can put them into boiling water and not get burned. Excellent gloves for my needs.I highly recommend both the gloves and their customer service.

These gloves are so close to perfect. They let you grip and hold anything hot, wet or dry. Easy to clean the exterior if needed. The only issue I have is the liner. You need to be super careful every time yo take them off or the whole thing will turn inside out making them extra difficult to put back on. Once you know this the problem is easily solved but it does make the process longer and frustrating.
