Purchase with the Goal Zero battery (Flip 24) and while to solar panel is great the same can not be said about Goal Zeros battery’s that snap on.If you plan to only use this without Goal Zero’s battery then this will work as advertised and I recommend. However, due to the Goal Zero battery not supporting pass though charging they made the pair up not ideal!

Panel works great to charge my cellphone or gps in the field. Super easy to use and transport, keep mine in my backpack while out hunting so I can charge devices throughout the day. This will also charge the smaller powerbanks they make and works well coupled.

I’m shocked that this solar panel works so well considering it’s only a 5 watt. I plugged my Clutch charger into the USB port and it charged it in less than 3 hours. This was sitting on my dashboard of the car. I’m looking forward to taking this out on some camping trips.

Much simpler to use than an older model I have. Appreciate being able to purchase different sizes of packs. Like the “kick stand”! Used this first at a music festival and since then have kept the packs charged by tucking the panel into my sunroof; this way I always have solar power ready to go with me on hikes and other adventures.

It takes a little while but it does what it’s supposed to, I’m happy

Took this charger hunting. I’ll be leaving my battery bank at home from now on. This solar charger is efficient and charges fast. Met all my needs as long as the sun is shining. Highly recommend.

This item is perfect. I’ll be leaving for a trip with no electricity hook ups, but I read on my tablet. This item was my first choice. Goal Zero is a reliable brand, and this item works perfectly. I tested this yesterday, and it evens charges with a little overcast. Granted, it’s gonna be slow. This is a small solar panel. Testing on my S22 Ultra at 95% on a sunny day with an overcast, the device estimated around 40 minutes to charge the last 5%. This is a $60 dollar item, so the price is worth what it can do.

I have now tested this 5W panel under conditions of full sun, light overcast and heavy overcast on my Samsung Galaxy S9 (3,000mah battery). The starting conditions in each test were <10% battery charge. With full sun, it can take 5 or more hours to fully charge. Under light overcast the charge time nearly doubles. Under heavy overcast, whatever is left in the battery is drained within an hour. I did not expect fast charging but draining the battery when connected to the panel came as an unpleasant surprise.I think a 5w solar charger is probably not a good fit for a week long camping trip. I am buying a 10 W system for my trip. But, I am sending it back if it does not perform well.

Does NOT charge an iPhone. Get yourself a Guide/Nomad 10 instead. You need a 10-20W solar rig for charging most phones.
