We have four of these at our house- one for me and three for my kids. They keep us so so warm. They are NOT waterproof like a snowsuit, but even so they hold up when my kids are playing in wet conditions. My kids prefer to play in the snow while wearing these rather than their ski clothes. I tend to be cold all the time, but if I am wearing my Selk’bag, I am warm 99% of the time.

I have an adult M but I wanted to try this one b/c it’s less bulky, comes in a cute pattern, and was on sale; although it is rated for just under my height. They basically nailed it!It fits just about perfect when I stand; the ankle lands right at the top of my foot and above my heel. It is GREAT for walking around out in the cold! I don’t use the hood much but it fits fine.Sitting is a different situation. Gotta pull the crotch up as far as it goes before sitting or else the torso gets too short/tight. Even with that, I don’t zip it up all the way to avoid a choking sensation. The cuffs end up about halfway up my shins, depending on how I’m sitting. No points off for any of that; the measurements are provided so I knew to expect it to be undersized. I’ve still worn it a ton this winter, and been so grateful for it with the multiple arctic blasts we’ve had & insane heating costs. One thing that feels like it’s missing is pockets. I do like how streamlined & solid it is without them, but it is a feature I’m used to with outerwear. I wind up keeping the bottom of the zipper open several inches and reaching in through that to access pockets I’m wearing underneath. Sometimes I put little things like chapstick in the flipped-up foot covers. A kangaroo pocket like the adult versions have would be convenient, even if it was internal.I love this thing, I live in it lately, and I absolutely recommend it for anyone who often gets chilly. They’re a little pricey so if I didn’t catch the sale it would probably still be on my wish list since I have one already, but for a kid’s version it’s likely reasonable. Fwiw I am wearing it as I write this review.
