The AUBIKA Cooling Fan + Removable Face Pad for Meta/Oculus Quest 2 Accessories is a must-have for any VR enthusiast. This innovative face mask cooling fan helps to reduce lens fogging and facial stuffiness, making your VR experience more comfortable and enjoyable. By continuously drawing out the moist and hot air inside the mask, the fan creates active air circulation that keeps you cool and comfortable even during long VR sessions.
The custom partition support frame inside the fan allows the wind to flow out in a predetermined direction, making the air exchange speed faster. The face pad is made of soft PU material that is sweat-proof, easy to clean, and filled with thick memory foam. The facial interface is made of TPU+PC material that is soft and bendable, adapting to different facial contours with ease. The face cover is also equipped with a detachable anti-leakage nose pad that blocks external light, creating an immersive VR experience. It can also be used with glasses up to six inches wide.
The fan has two-speed wind speed adjustment that suits different usage modes, and a 500mAh battery inside that only takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. Once fully charged, it can be used for 3.5-4.5 hours, making it perfect for long VR sessions. The air ducts are added to the top and bottom of the face cover, and V-shaped air inlets are designed to guide the flow of wind, avoiding one-way flow of air in the bracket and effectively preventing dry eyes.
The packaging includes one Air Circulation Cooling Fan, one Flexible Facial Interface with Soft Face Pad, and one 0.15m USB-C Charging Cable. With this cooling fan and face pad, you can enjoy your VR experience without any discomfort or distractions.

I use the original Quest 2 foam face piece. It’s starting to show its age & is not easy to clean so I was looking for something else. I’ve never had a fogging problem with the foam piece but I’m thinking a small fan that relieves fogging might provide some cooling. The fan unit is very light weight, has a connector on the side for charging the internal battery, a status LED & it has an On/Speed/OFF button. It has 2 speeds and at either speed you can hear the low level white noise-type hiss. It’s only noticeable if there there is silence in the headset. My ears are older (76) so maybe younger ears might hear more sound!Assembly was easy & adding it to the headset was literally a snap. The face piece exterior is made of “PU LEATHER” (not sure what that is) & has a foam interior. There is also a light shield piece for the nose. The cable is a short USB-C to USB-C allowing you to not only charge the fan on its own but you can plug it into the headset for longer run times. NOTE: This will decrease headset time by “5% to 10%” according to the very well done manual. I wish the cable was a bit longer as that would let me plug the fan into the Elite Head Strap with Battery connector at the rear & get even longer run time.I found the nose piece to be annoying. The manual said it was removable but it would be ruined if pulled off as the tabs holding it in would rip off.I wear glasses & had no trouble getting the headset on & off without affecting my glasses which is a major plus for me. (The ad states up to 6″ wide glasses will fit.)The major problem for me & hence the three stars was the fact that the “PU Leather” made my face sweat & I was playing mini golf! It was easy to wipe off the surface of the face piece but this never happened with any other face piece I’ve tried. Even when I didn’t sweat, the face piece felt warm on my face. The fan did not provide any cooling to my face but there was no fogging either. The air flow is pulled into the channels at the bottom & expelled from the fan front. I noticed the air was pretty warm so I’m guessing it was venting some of the heat from the headset which is a good thing. It did what it said it would do but I found it uncomfortable to wear so I’ll need to keep looking.

The Aubika fan + face pad works. That’s what anyone should know first. Its internal battery lasts long enough for an extended VR session, striking a good compromise between weight and run time. And the face pad is both comfortable and about as well made as most others out there. That’s good, because its plastic frame is a proprietary mount for the fan unit. Mercifully, it also incorporates a USB-C charging port, so it’ll charge with your Quest charging cord (though it comes with one of its own, too). The fan has two speed settings: one which works adequately well, and another which tickles your eyelashes. Neither speed is obnoxiously or distractingly loud, but you’ll still hear a little fan noise. Is it worth $43? It’s a little steep for what you get, but not outrageous. If you dropped a bundle on a VR device you can’t use because the lenses are always fogged up, though, it’s just the ticket.

Set up is very easy. Add new face plate, clip in fan.Fan has 2 speed settings. And keeps the lenses clear of fogging. The faceplate is nicely vented and you can feel the air flowing in the mask. And the faceplate is very nicely padded and comfortable.Very great deal.

The first thing that I noticed when I got this was how light it is, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing right off the bat.So, there are some issues with this fan. First of all, there is no way to charge the headset while running the fan unless you want another cable running to the headset.Second, the fan is loud and does not in any way cool your face down. This may be caused by the next issue:The cushion they supply that fits with the fan is poorly designed. there are large gaps on the sides that let in light and render the fan next to useless. The fan itself is well built and provides good airflow, but the mask does not fit well. If you have a larger head size this may not be as big of a problem. If you have a 3D printer, you could probably make a better face cushion and use the fan.

The light blocking around the nose works well, but pinches my nose a little. The vents for air movement around the eye piece let in some light in a bright room, so there is a trade off. The fan is mostly quiet, even at the higher speed, but it dry out my eyes a little during use.

It sucked moisture out. That part was good and would serve those without glasses well. But, framing brings eyepieces too close to glasses. This allowed eyepieces to scratch outer coating off of glasses, ruining them. With return period closing 4 days ago I’m stuck with this device and a useless pair of glasses.

I really like this, it provides more space then the eye glasses adapter I purchased, my glasses are no longer pushing into my head. It has a gentle air flow that keeps things cool under the hood.

This AUBIKA Cooling Fan + Removable Face Pad was somewhat of a letdown. From a poor quality face gasket that feels icky against the face to distracting noisy fans that don’t seem to move much air to the irritating nose cover piece that doesn’t keep out light, we kept finding things that another one we own excelled at.This Cooling fan from AUBIKA is about 30% less expensive than the other one we own but when you look at the asking price and do the math, in our opinion it’s worth spending a little more for one that is clearly engineered better.Overall we would have been happier with a less noisy fan and a nicer quality face gasket. It’s winter/early spring here and we keep the heat in the room where we use the VR headsets pretty low so we didn’t sweat too much. We can only imagine what this would be like in the summer or in an area with a warmer climate. We gave it a 3-star review and can’t really recommend it unless you want to save a little bit of money vs. the other brands.
