Just how do dogs and cats do it? They seem to wag their tails with little or no effort at all. It just happens. When will man be able to perform such an astounding feat without even trying? When will be our time to lazily lay on a couch with a stupid grin on our face as our tail wags happily!? We don’t even have tails. Being human is the pits!
Well, all of that is about to change(well maybe not the pits part.) An inventor named Shota Ishiwatari, who you may remember from developing the prototype of those awesome brain-controlled cat ears from a few years back, is back with another unique invention. Introducing the Tailly, the mechanical tail a person wears that works, for all intents and purposes, like a real live tail. Basically you strap it on and forget it and when your brain experiences things that would normally cause a tail to wag, that tail will wag. Isn’t the future glorious and somewhat strange? Hey, a nice mix of both keeps things interesting.
The Tailly will only be available commercially if it meets its fundraising goal, which you can help by checking out the item’s Kickstarter. Need more incentive? Here is what the inventor says about a potential use for it. “One could even wear Tailly on a date and express your true feelings through the wagging tail. Even better, your partner could also wear one… to add a level of subconscious communication between the two of you.” Subconscious communication? We are all for that here at Crunchwear. That way we won’t have to type anymore. Each post can just be a blank page and we’ll each subconsciously know what it says.
