Grab yourself a cup of hot cocoa, because it’s time to go over what’s new in the ever-evolving world of Google Glass. Last time we reported on Google’s super, virtual-reality-inducing glasses, we mentioned how early adopters were beginning to get their units and how apps were begin to trickle out. Well, as more and more people get their hands on Glass and begin taking the specs for a whirl, even more tantalizing info is leaking out. Keep reading for more.

As we stated earlier, people in the real world actually have Glass units on their ever-loving faces right now. One such early adopter has taken the liberty of breaking it down to its very essence and reported back on the specs. It turns out Glass is running an ancient, by mobile standards, chipset from 2011. Developer Jay Lee Lee has also verified that Google’s smart eyewear currently runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and uses an OMAP chipset and around one gig of ram. The specs aren’t as crazy as one would assume but before you go exclaiming “hey that’s not worth $1,500” remember it’s not the size of the boat it’s the motion of the ocean. Or something.

In other Glass news, an early adopter has discovered a cute Easter egg within the OS. Apparently, if you select View Licenses under Settings and Device Info, then tap the touchpad nine times (a beep increasing in pitch will follow each tap), you’ll be able to see the entire Project Glass team in a panoramic shot. This is a nice homage to the actual people that created the darned thing. Crunchwear approves, even though no such Easter egg exists on this site(yet.)
