    charger cord included?

The charging cord is included, but it may not have the original fitbit charging cord. It is supposed to come with a charging cord that has a button toward the base so that you can restart it if needed, like if the display goes away. The cord that I received through Amazon does not have this button, so restarting it is a bit trickier.

Is this waterproof? Would it track swimming sessions?

Hi @VladQui, the manual says that the HR function is disabled because the optical HR method doesn't work accurately through water (it's shining a light at your wrist trying to gauge blood flow and water bends the light). That said, if you only want a relative number, I've found that if you manually set the start of a "workout" (the most generic of the built-on choices) as you get into the pool, then it will give you HR data. I also snug the wristband extra tight. Also, you can set pool length -- on the Inspire HR, open Exercise and choose Swim, then swipe up and tap pool settings. It will then allow you to set the pool length.

How accurate is the HR tracking for strength training/weight-lifting workouts?

It’s pretty accurate. I was using this while hooked up to a halter monitor. It was very close.

Does the screen on the lilac option actually have a purple tint to it?

I put it next to paper, white sheets and and a white napkin and covered the bands. The images do have a purple tint. It appears that the whole “watch face” is a purple tinted continuous surface. So yes, your eyes see real lilac. There are grey tones and thus some grey dots where the image needs depth or delineation. So, the majority is light lavender and the remainder is grey. It’s pretty darn cool and pretty, too. You will like it. ( my sis has a black band and I also compared face-to-face with hers). Enjoy!

Does it alert me about text messages when synced with my iPhone?

Yes, it does alert you and you are able to see the message on The Fitbit.

I love this tracker! This is my first introduction into the Fitbit family, as I have tried Misfit Flash and Misfit Shine, but so far this one is my favorite.Things I like:-Simple user interface. I like that it’s simple to use and navigate through the Fitbit.-Different watch faces-The heart rate feature-The app is great!Things I don’t like:-The charger is very short. Of course eventually 3rd party accessories are probably going to come out, so I’ll probably change out the charger, as well as the band eventually.Update: May 31, 2019.I still love this tracker. I have found a few tips and tricks to make this Fitbit a little more convenient.1. I bought a longer charge cable. It’s much better than the one that came with it.2. If you hold down the button on the side for a few seconds, it brings up the battery percentage. That’s really helpful. You can also swipe down and turn notifications and screen wake off/on, which turning them both off conserves the battery.3. I don’t wear in the shower or swimming. I know that it’s supposed to be waterproof, but I don’t like to chance it.4. Every time I take a shower, I put it on the charger.5. Syncing issues: close the app, and then turn your Bluetooth off. Then turn your Bluetooth back on, wait for the Fitbit to reconnect, then open the Fitbit app and it should sync immediately.

I purchased this Fitbit Inspire HR device believing all the hype about how good it is. I read various guides on how to setup and operate it. However as far as I’m concerned neither the device or the app are intuitive, consequently they, as a system are difficult to use. Also the touch screen on my Inspire HR, and its operation is frustrating to use, particularly if one is in a hurry. On the first morning of ownership I got out of bed and walked downstairs, some 70 steps. The Fitbit Inspire HR registered 549 steps, ridiculously inaccurate would be a understatement. My advice would be to save your money and buy something else. I’m sending mine back for a refund.

Rilevazioni passi, calorie e distanza incredibilmente sovrastimati.

I am getting rid of this. The user interface design is horrible. You cannot check activity on your phone unless it’s connected to their server.Functionally, this is a good product. What infuriates me is how they make you use it. You must have an account with Fitbit, which is ridiculous enough in itself, but what makes this absolutely maddening is you can’t open the mobile app without logging into their server. The Fitbit transfers data to to their server thru your phone, but they don’t let you access that data on your phone, unless you connect to their server. This is unacceptable. I try to understand why they would require a connection to their server, and the only reason I can think of is they want access to your data. Before you can even see it. With policies like this, I hope they go out of business. You should be able to use this device and the app without their permission. They are effectively saying you cannot use it, unless you get permission from their server. I can imagine they would say “it’s for security reasons”, but that is nonsense.I will never buy another one of their products unless they change their ridiculous policy.

    8. 1st time product reviewer …

Let me start by saying I have never written a review before so I am not a habitual negative reviewer …I liked my Fitbit Inspire HR when I first received it. However, that was short lived when I noticed that the simple movement of rocking in a chair was counted towards my ‘steps’ and you cannot read the watch screen when outside in the sunlight. I should have returned my Fitbit to Amazon right then and there, but I decided to contact Fitbit to see if there was a ‘fix’ to the problem. They assured me that YES, that was a warranty issue and it would be resolved with a replacement. I thought great! Then the replacement arrived … it ALSO was not readable when outside in the sunlight AND on top of that the replacement was not reading my pulse. Obviously this was not a ‘warranty’ issue, but a ‘design’ issue. I am outside the majority of the day and need to be able to see what time it is. I would also love to be able to utilize the other features of my Fitbit, BUT that is not possible when you can not read the watch face outside. I chose the Fitbit Inspire HR because of the simple look, the small size and also how it would look with nicer looking bands. If I had not contacted Fitbit about the problem, which I thought was going to be a quick answer and solution, I would have returned the Fitbit to Amazon. Now after screwing around with the Fitbit company and sending my Fitbit back to them, because they said it was ‘defective’, I missed the opportunity to return the Fitbit through Amazon. Instead I decided to trust the Fitbit company when they said that just my ONE Fitbit was defective and the problem would be cleared up with a replacement. However, as they most likely knew from the beginning, my ONE Fitbit was not defective, but their product has a design flaw. So I am stuck … either with continuing to use their crappy product or eating the money I wasted on their Fitbit Inspire HR, an extended warranty, and also a nicer looking watch band ($116 total). Don’t fall for Fitbit being the esteemed and highly reviewed company that everyone claims they are! Their customer service is generic in their email responses and they do not resolve any actual problems. They will not return their designed flawed product and refund me my money because I did not purchase my Fitbit through Fitbit.com. Even though I am no longer able to return it to Amazon because I believed their false customer service claims that the problem was ‘FIXABLE’. Please redirect your money from making a Fitbit purchase and buy an Apple Watch or any other brand of fitness trackers. I wish I had been warned before wasting my money!

Had this delivered on approx 27th May 2019. Clasp broke and fit bit feel of my daughters wrist whilst walking around Bath park Thursday 4th July. Contacted fit by email. Response was slow and then when she finally got a response stated they would not warranty it but gave her a link to Fitbit retails for a replacement. Why would you purchase again for such poor quality and disappointing customer service. So clearly states product should be free from defects etc for up to one year. So had less than 2 months and you feel that’s not a defect. It was not stolen or left unattended it was on wrist whilst she tried to get her steps in at lunch. Silly me for thinking this was an unusual usage of product

My first Fitbit. I bought it mostly to monitor my heart rate, but I’ve become mildly obsessed with my sleep cycles and being more active, the latter of which is no bad thing. It’s easy to use and syncs well with the app. I’ve added a water widget to my home screen. I’ve also deleted two other apps inused to track water intake and my menstrual cycle because this does both. I like that.I didn’t like the rubber strap because it looked massive on my wrist so have bought a third party fabric strap which I love.It charges much more quickly than I thought it would. The exercise animations are very cute. It’s good at working out some things and not others…it thinks I’m off road biking when I’m pushing the buggy 😂Anyhoo, I like it and what it does. It’s not too big for my wrist, is comfortable and has easily replaced my wrist watch of fifteen years.

    11. Butter Bean’s mom

I was on the fence about this Fitbit. But wow am I impressed! I didn’t know if I wanted to spend the money since I already had two older models of the Fitbit and they did the job (motivating me to walk more and have some fun challenges with coworkers). But I wanted something more. I wanted something that I could go swimming with and ultimately get wet. I can’t say enough good things about this Fitbit.I use it when weight training, swimming and biking. It’s super easy to start the exercise on your watch. You just have to swipe down to find exercise icon. After you start it, if you’re going for a bike ride, it automatically tracks with GPS and sends that data to your Fitbit app.I also love that this Fitbit allows you to read the entire text message. The band is super comfortable and I’ve had no problems with any kind of rash, that was mentioned in previous reviews. I also believe that the steps are quite accurate compared to other fitbits I’ve had. I can’t speak to the heart rate but it looks pretty accurate to me.Totally worth it in my opinion. I wouldn’t be put off by some negative reviews. Give it a try, if you don’t like it can always send it back. I’m happy with my purchase.

    12. SueJo,

I have always loved the Fitbit. I have had three of them so far. The first one I had for about two years and I lost it some how. The second one I don?t know how long I had it but one day it stopped working. I think I got it wet (it wasn?t a water proof one). Now I have a new one and I love it (this one is waterproof).See more

    13. sandraJTodd,

bought 2 for my family, neither provided notification as stated. The notifications was the reason why we bought this fitbit. I could have spent less money on a cheaper version of a fitbit. I contacted customer service, which was mindblowingly ignorant. It wasn’t customer service at all. Instead they referred me to articles to fix the problem myself. After that didn’t work, I contacted them again just for them to tell me, they were already aware of the problem in this version of fitbits. Awful.See more
