This review is a bit early. I’ve had the headstrap for one day, but wanted to post my thoughts at this point.UPDATED BELOWThe reviews look great. My number one concern was the few reviews that spoke of a not-quite-right USB-C connection. I’m a pro IT person, i’ve been doing IT for a couple decades and can even remember when USB 1 came out, it was amazing. Since then i’ve worked with countless USB connections and cables. When i first got this headstrap, i noticed the USB connection seemed loose compared to every other USB C connection i’ve worked with. Another reviewer mentioned that the developers of this headset instructed her to push harder. I figured she was new to USB and maybe was slightly off. I’m far from new at USB, so i know exactly what i’m doing, it definitely seemed loose. I like the rest of the headset so much that i figured i’d grab a USB-C coupler and jerry-rig my own connection. Well i discovered when plugging the headstrap into my USB C coupler that there is a little snap when it pops into place. This never happens with USB-C. The force i used to pop it in was not something i wanted to do to the Quest, because i don’t want to break it. The weird part is that the snap seemed like it was made that way. So i went ahead and pushed a little harder when plugging it into my Quest. It did the same thing as when i pushed harder with my coupler, it popped in. After connecting it, it felt much better connected to the Quest. Before the pop in, the connection (charging-wise) was hit and miss. So although i’ve only had this headstrap for a day, if the pop in is by design, then bravo, headstrap well done. If i start having any issues with consistent charging, i’ll update this post. For now this headset feels like a 6 star deal. I highly recommend it.The rest of the headstrap is awesome. It fits really nice. I have an average size head. I can’t say much for the battery life yet but will try to update this post.I really think the seller of this headstrap should elaborate about this connection/snap issue. It’s not a normal USB thing. Tell us if what i’ve stated about the connection is correct.2022-01-16Ok, well i haven’t heard from the seller. Here’s an update from me. The headstrap stopped charging. It never fully passed-though and charged the headset. The max i saw the headset charged to was 86-96%. The first couple times i used it, it did charge the headset, but not anymore. Last night i played 1.5 hrs of VR and ran out of power (as if the headstrap wasn’t charging the headset). I replugged it a couple times and it started charging then stopped. I pretty much had to stop playing i ran out of power. I’m currently talking with Amazon to have it replaced. I’ll update this post with how the second headstrap plays out. I moved the star rating to 3. If its just one faulty unit, i’ll get that star rating back to 5+, if i get a second faulty unit, i’ll rate it 0 (expensive paper weight), we”ll see soon.

It gave me 4 more hours the first two times I used it. Now it doesn’t last anywhere near as long as the quest built in battery pack.It’s crap.. don’t buy it

The Head Strap Did Not Meet Expectations, And I’m Disappointed That The Product Description Has Told Me That The Battery Lasts 7 Hours But Does Not Even Last 2 Hours And 30 Mins, Which Is Disappointing Because The Official Meta Quest One Can Last 3 To 4 Hours. So first, I Can Give This Head Strap Credit For Being Comfortable. Still, I Bought It To Get The Battery Life Out Of It, So To See That This Was An Untrue Statement Was Very Disappointing. If You Want To Get A Head Strap With A Battery, Get The Official Meta Quest 2 Elite Strap With Battery. You, Will, Get Your Money Worth That Way, Not With This Head Strap. I’m Currently In The Process Of Returning This Head Strap.

Battery life is terrible on these. fully charged both my quest 2 and the strap battery i only get about 1 hour or less until the red light starts blinking.i dont get near as much as what is advertised. defective unit?everything else is great, well balanced and comfortable.

This is a great product. The battery pack gives you pretty much exactly the amount of extra time that they say they give you. Strap is comfortable. 2 huge downsides are that I can’t find customer service anywhere and 2. The strap just decided to stop charging giving me an orange blinking light. I’ve read some of the questions about this saying to just keep it charged and it’ll turn green and so I kept the strap charged for at least 8 hours with no change in color. Unfortunately, the strap is done now. I read an answer the seller gave concerning this issue saying to call customer service to arrange a replacement but…there is no way to call customer service. Took an L for this. Next time I buy something like this hopefully it stays functional for at least a year

I purchased this battery pack one year ago for my brand new Oculus 2 the unit battery wasn’t working for me. I was getting around 2 to 2 1/2hrs on the system so I started looking around for battery packs. I stumbled across this particular product and i must say it worked out great in fact I was so impressed with this product that I ended up buying one for my son. This is the best thing you can have if you like to play on your Oculus for extended periods of time. the great thing about it is we get to enjoy immersing ourselves into the games without worrying about getting off because of power drainage. we get on average 4 to 4 1/2 hours on these units and best of all it charges the head unit too. In total with the two batteries we get an average of 7 to 8hrs of playtime depending on the game and frame rate that you’re using. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone but particularly for those fathers and sons who like to play these games in virtual reality together. just be careful it lasts so long you lose track of time. So gear up and enjoy all the hours of play time. Side note you can leave the battery pack attached to the power of the Oculus 2 and it will charge both units by simply plugging in the battery pack. you can activate the battery pack by putting your unit on then turn the knob on the back of the power pack and it will show you the display in the headset of your percentage of power in the headset. it typically uses the power from the battery pack first. then once the pack is dead you will have the power that is in the head unit for that additional 2 to 2 1/2 hrs hope this helps stay blessed everyone

Works perfect love the extended play time on the headset. My son and I can play games back to back before this add on we had to wait and hour or so for the headset to recharge. Now we game on for hours!

I’ve owned this headstrap for about a year now, and I must say, overall it’s a decent purchase. It’s easy to use, comfortable, and definitely extended my battery life. However, I get nowhere near the “7 Hours of Playtime” advertised above, and the loud cranking to tighten the headset is annoying at best.Not to mention, I’d say I’ve been taking fairly good care of the headstrap, yet the charging port is acting strange. It -will not- charge unless the cable is flipped the right way. I’ve checked with multiple cables and had the same result.Overall: Good purchase, worth the money, take care of your electronics, change the advertisement.

A little bit heavier than I expected but not too bad. I assume this is because of the battery weighing it down. The tightening apparatus in the back is not as smooth as I would have liked. It has loud clicks which makes it feel cheap but functionally it works fine.
