Baidu is often hailed as the Chinese Google, and started as a search engine, and now offers many services, including an online encyclopedia. They, like Google, made their debut in the wearable technology market with the Baidu Eye, their answer to Google Glass. Baidu was founded in 2000 by Robin Li, and Eric Xu.
