I love my Apex Pro!! Bought it a little less than two months ago and I used it on my daily runs and on my weekly hikes. Battery is beyond reliable; I’ve summitted San Gorgonio earlier this month and ran daily and only charged it once (will full GPS on). Also, I’ve bugged their customer services team too many times and they’ve been super helpful and really nice too!

Update 1:. They just added a couple of watch faces that are much better, easy to read, digital clock formats. The good: Very accurate distance and elevation. Battery life is amazing. Customizing running screens is easy. Metrics are solid. The bad: HRM has never worked well although I’ve never taken the time to test the position on my wrist.Lack of brightness on bright days while in the shade makes the watch unusable. You have go step into the sunlight in order to get the contrast to needed to view the watch. Backlight is weak at best. I realize this helps with battery life but lighting conditions vary while running, especially trail running, so watches need to comply. Most of the watch faces are overly complex or hard to read.I would really give the watch 3.5 stars. It’s just above average at this point.I do have faith that coros will fix these issues.

Ultra runners and all runners… this is the watch for you. 31 hr 100 mile run in the forests of Virginia. Tracked true, and the battery lasted. Not only did it last the whole race, 3 days later with no charge, still had 25 percent battery. It is fashionable as well. Love the ability to change faces to match my daily clothes.

  4. Glenn D

Purchased as gift for my GF, who is a avid runner. She loves it. Was a upgrade over her previous Garmin watch.

I was primarily looking for a long-lasting battery that can easily track my runs via GPS. I debated between Matrix’s Powerwatch 2, Garmin Fenix 5/6, or Garmin Forerunner 945. Heard Powerwatch 2’s software is terrible upon release for Indigogo backers. Garmin has too many bell whistles and analysis than I care for to train for my first marathon. Sure, Garmin has spotify playlist capability which is huge, but I carry my phone with me on my running belt anyway for emergency calls. If I didn’t need my phone at all, I’d go with Garmin for that music capability. The battery is amazing. I only charge my Coros Apex Pro about once every other week with a weekly average of 40 miles of running. It’s not even close to zero but I get “battery range anxiety” when it gets in the 20’s for battery power. Totally unnecessary but that’s just how I am.The GPS starts up within 5-10 seconds, same with the HR monitor. Absolutely love the titanium finish and have banged up my watch frequently — with NO visible scratches on the Sapphire Glass or the titanium!Lastly, the User Experience in activating runs is so simple. Doesn’t even need an instruction manual. One really cool feature is how to stop a run: I love that you have to roll the center dial to a certain extent to unlock the watch. That way, you’ll never have accidental pauses in tracking your runs. BEST YET, to officially finish the run, after unlocking your watch and pausing the run, you have to go to “Finish” and HOLD for three seconds to actually finish. The “3-2-1” timer is excellent so you’ll never have to worry about accidentally finishing your run. You finish it with intent!Overall, for those who want longest battery life, great UX, quality materials, AND a reasonable price, I’d go for Coros Apex Pro over the competition.

This watch is a better alternative to Garmin for runners and a better value considering the sapphire bezel and titanium case, IMHO. Reason: easy to use UI both physically and mechanically. Easy to read dial when running, easy to change screens while on the run (turn the dial), unreal battery life, simple but comprehensive menus. The only area that they need to fix is having the ability to create workouts on the app to download to the watch. For that, I have to resort to my Garmin Fenix 1x per week. Other than that, best in class.

  7. Nicole Smith

Best GPS watch around!! Unmatched battery life that work get you though weeks of training. Super amazing accuracy. Superb build quality.

  8. Graham Lindsay

Had the watch for almost a month now. It’s the first proper sports watch I’ve had. The battery life and strong glass and bezel probably swayed it for me in deciding what to buy.I’m still learning how to use all of the functions and it’s gonna take a while, I can’t seem to find much guidance on all of the functions unfortunately. The heart rate monitor seems to be pretty spot on, settling after a few days, strangely enough as if it got to know me.Performed really well when I’ve been out and about including some chunky adventures in Spain and the battery goes on and on, even in GPS mode. What I’d like to see is a Web interface, community features and training plans.

  9. Jeremy

Best GPS watch I have ever had! Battery life is unreal!! I don’t know how they do it. I do a lot of trail running and the GPS navigation is so cool. I build gpx files and then send them to the watch… This watch is AWESOME!

  10. Boe Joe

You still need to use the side knob/buttons for 95% of this watches functions. The extra $150 over a regular Apex is not worth it.

  11. Active Chris

I was a Garmin user for 5+ years and then a Suunto user for 4+ years and switching to Coros was hrs at first. And not that I’ve been using if for a year—>I may say it’s the best decision base on features, price and support. Garmin is durable, Suunto is also durable but I got bad support experience . With Coros ( David S.) Customer Support is undeniably AAA+ in my book, he responds promptly even after 8pm ( California Time). Yes, there’s a lot of updates since they always fixing the bugs and always had great features but the bottom line is that the watch is accurate.

  12. Jose Melo Marques Jr

Excellent Product as expected. Couldn’t be happier.

I had this watch for a week- was looking to replace my Garmin Fenix 6X. The watch is… okay. The software is a much less customizable Garmin knock-off. It looks very similar. It’s a bit clunky, and doesn’t have as much data available as Garmin. Also, there is only a mobile app- no website portal. The price is slightly less than Garmin, but you also get much less for that price. In my opinion, this watch should retail for half of what it is selling for.The watch is very light and comfortable to wear. I almost forgot I had it on at times. The battery life is the selling point of this watch (and frankly, all Coros products). A bit better than what I get on my Fenix 6X.The trade-off in software and lack of data ultimately had me stick with Garmin though. My advice to Coros would be to create their own software- don’t try to mimic Garmin. Hardware has always been Garmin’s strong point anyway, not software. 🙂

  14. Angel

The watch battery life is excellent, as an amateur runner currently running 25 miles a week this watch easily goes weeks without a charge. The only time I charge it is when it’s around 20 percent and that is usually after 3 weeks or more. The watch is very intuitive to use and customer support is very quick, turnaround time for me in emails is same business day within an hour, sometimes less. I think it’s an added bonus that the communication with customer support is very friendly and helpful. Also they are constantly updating the firmware and pushing out new features. I previously had Garmin watches and must say I’m more than happy with this upgrade!

  15. Sandy Jones

I’ve been a faithful Garmin user for many years and have never wavered, until now. The COROS Apex pro is phenomenal! The gps accuracy and data is amazing. Being an ultra runner, battery life is important. I used this watch in a 100 mile race while using gps and still had hours of charge remaining! I highly recommend this watch!

  16. Natalie

Great watch so far. More accuracy than my Suunto Baro 9. Much lighter!
