// PRODUCT SUMMARY

The AfterShokz OpenMove is a pair of wireless bone conduction headphones that offer a unique listening experience. Unlike traditional headphones, these earphones do not block your ears, but instead use bone conduction technology to deliver audio. This means that the headphones rest on your cheekbones and transfer sound vibrations through the bones of your skull, directly to your inner ear, bypassing the eardrum altogether. The result is a comfortable, safe and immersive listening experience, that does not compromise your situational awareness. The OpenMove earphones feature Bluetooth 5.0 and a six-hour battery life, so you can enjoy your favorite music, podcasts, or audiobooks without the hassle of cords or wires. The headphones are also IP55 rated for sweat and water resistance, making them perfect for workouts and outdoor activities. The OpenMove's design is user-friendly and fits securely, yet comfortably. Finally, with one-button control and built-in microphone, you can easily take calls or activate your voice assistant without having to take out your phone. The AfterShokz OpenMove is a great option for anyone looking for a versatile pair of bone conduction headphones that provide a unique listening experience with exceptional sound quality.

Do the sides allow space for behind the ear hearing aids?

I have behind the ear hearing aids, works well with them only drawback is it can be uncomfortable/annoying after all day. This is the only type of headphone that i can use and also use hearing aids at same time. They are the best option i am aware of. Also ive had a pair of theese for over 2 yrs working construction and i only need to replace them cause my kids lost them.

Is the Battery level announce an annoying voice

I guess it depends on what you consider annoying. The only time you will hear it is either if it’s low or if you push the button to check for battery level. When it’s really low, it will say “charge me” in a rather annoying kind of witchy voice. When you check the battery level it says “battery level high” or medium or low in the same voice. Personally, I don’t like the voice, but other people apparently don’t find her that annoying.

How many devices can connect at the sametime?

Two at a time, but I haven't had success with the function. Multipoint will not change the audio from one device to another. For example, I can have my laptop connected so I can take virtual meetings but when I'm not using it's audio it will not play the audio from my phone. However, if I am on laptop audio and a call comes in it does interupt the laptop so I can take the phone call. Which can be annoying if I'm on a conference call, but might be okay if I was just listening to videos etc.

If they do not fit with hearing aids are they returnable?

I wear BTE Hearing Aids and these are the only Headphones I will wear. I can still wear my hearing aids, listen to music, and hear all the other sounds around me. The biggest plus is these do not go in the ear. I use them when I go long distance walking.

Can people around you hear your music?

No, not unless I have it at max volume and the person is right next to me. But max volume would be painful and would make such a vibration, you couldn't stand it. It's such a different experience feeling the sound rather than hearing the sound. Don't hesitate, get them!

It’s not for noise cancellation, it’s for people that doesn’t like things in their ears.. I love it!!

  2. Wendy K.H.

I love the fact that this product doesn’t cancel out ALL the noise around me. I still get all my music and phone calls but if I’m home and want to tune everything out they give you earplugs to use. Definitely would recommend to anyone whose earbuds always fall out or don’t like being totally cut off from any other noise.

  3. OSparksN

This is my second pair of AfterShokz. The first ones still work perfectly, I just loved the slightly new design and color. You don’t have to worry about ear discomfort since they sit in front of your ears. It’s a very comfortable position. I also love that while I can listen to my music, podcasts, etc. I am still able to hear everything going on around me. Great for jogging, biking, etc.

So this is my third aftershokz. The original titanium ones I had broke early on due to stress on the over the ear bend. They replaced them due to warranty. Few years down the road, and they broke again in the same place. I’ve have the new model Open Move. It’s lighter, and so far work very well. The overall design is lighter, so I’m not sure how long it will last. But as long as they are within warranty I think shouldn’t be an issue. If you’ve never had bone conduction, they don’t have the same sound quality of headphones. However the sound is still very good, besides I use this at work and when I’m on my bike, which allow me to hear around me, and aren’t as tiring to wear. The only downside is having a big head, so wish they were a little more comfortable for re-positioning.

  5. SANTIAGO ARAMBULA ECH.

Clear sound for music (connected to iPhone) and calls (even outdoors). You can clearly hear what’s goin on around you even with the device at high volume. I really like the product, I wore it for a 2hr ride without any issues and felt safe all the time while using it! I have wore it for longer periods of time at home and it is not a problem at all; it has great bluetooth coverage too (much better than my Garmin watch), so you can enjoy music around the house without having to carrry the phone with you all the time. One minor caveate: When placing a call while riding my bike in the wind people on the other end couldn’t hear me well (same issue that I would have if talking on the phone anyways), but when I covered the left hand side with my headband it made it much better. This product has changed my approach to outdoor workouts, as I never wore a headset before for safety reasons.I definitely recommend this product!

I am a big fan of Aftershokz. We have 5-6 pair and I recommend to everyone who inquiries. I thought I had lost mine on a bike ride and immediately ordered this Open Move pair in White. Sound quality and fit is great. Only slight negative is that it recharges with a type C USB whereas all my others have standard original USB. Not a big problem as everything seems to be going that way. I wear Aftershokz daily and sometimes I forget I have them on. I make calls and answer calls with them and sound is brilliant. Too bad I don’t work for them as a sales person. I am a believer as I like the bone conduction rather than my AirPods which never fit properly. I like being able if needed to hear some surrounding noise

  7. Michael P. Ball

This headset seems to be the upgrade to the older Aftershoks headset, Titanium. They look better, fit better, and sounds better. They even upgraded to a USB-C charging port, which is better than the more premium Aeroplex charger. Really pleased with these. The only negative to this headset is the volume controls. When you use the volume control on the headset, it makes a loud beep that is always too loud. I recommend using the phone volume adjust to avoid the beep. Otherwise, great design.

  8. uwibami_draigo

My boss has the more expensive set and loves them. So I decided to try this pair. For the price, the sound and quality are so much better than other pairs of bone conduction. This my third pair and I will say do not go cheap on bone conduction. You can very easily hear thing around you. Works very well in machine shops when you need to pay attention to your surroundings. The ear plugs which came with the set are great too. Almost feels like over headset.
