Formed in 2003 by Limor Fried, an engineer at MIT, Adafruit Industries aims to make the best online place to learn about electronics and also create the best designed products for a wide range of people. Adafruit Industries is currently based in New York City and has over 45 employees. Adafruit is possibly best known for creating the wearable tech platform, the Arduino.
